Best to study up a little. Understanding the context and history of these truly epic paintings makes the experience much better. It is important to be solemn here, the Czech are serious about these. The docents will bark at disrespectful "ugly Americans".

We went to the 19/20/21 Century exhibit in the Fair Trade Palace. It does not look like a "palace", so it is not about the building. Tram 6 from the Powder Tower gets you there quickly and cheaply. The exhibit is large, well lit, includes...More

I have been thinking about this modern art museum in Prague -- also known as the "Trade Fair Palace" since we visited the place in late April 2017. There are quite a few sculptures and paintings that are rare finds to us. I like the...More

I visited only one of six museums. The one that is dedicated to the contemporary art and 20, 19 century. Very big pavilion. 5 floors with exhibitions. There is all about Czech art. Also there are few works of Roden, Picasso and Monet.

One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents
the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and

Hi, I could not find a way to book tickets online for the National Gallery. Is it simply impossible/did I oversee anything or is there no need to get tickets in advance? Thanks for any info ;-)

No need to purchase in advance. This is a huge museum that is far enough away from the old city that it is not crowded at all even with the Ai Wei Wei exhibit. Enjoy!

This is quite a peculiar question, but regarding the location of the National Gallery, the address is Staroměstské náměstí 12, 110 15 Staré Město. Hope that helps.
