On the Old Town side of Charles Bridge, this Gothic tower built in 1373 is flanked by sculptures of St Vitus and Charles IV. Open to the public,it offers excellent views of the Old Town and the Vltava River to visitors who climb the narrow staircase. The tower once displayed the heads of twelve Protestant leaders executed in 1621, and was also the site of the final conflict of the Thirty Years War (1618-1648).

One of the beautiful towers at the end of the Charles Bridge, very photogenic, an icon of old Prague and a place you will want to see. Come at night when the crowds are thinner.

This tower is situated at the end or the start of the Charles Bridge depends on the way you start walking. It’s a gothic looking tower that you can pay to climb to look out from the top onto the bridges and surroundings.

This elegant late-14th-century tower was built not only as a fortification but also as a triumphal arch marking the entrance to the Old Town. Like the bridge itself, it was designed by Peter Parler and incorporates many symbolic elements. Inside is an exhibition about the...More

If you're going to the bridge, take the time to climb the tower. It's inexpensive and the views are stunning. Some of my favorite photos from Prague are from the top.

Great place to get views of the castle, river and main square with astronomical clock. Staircase is steep but not too many stairs. Good place to get some photos of the city.

One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents
the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle

square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and
squares, and stone towers blend together with the
