Very interesting museum/home of the Uphagen family. The many rooms allow an insight into their lives - and there are more rooms than you imagine from the outside.

Average historic land-mark, somewhat lost in the middle of the Gdansk Old Town, not maintained well in general, too.

Amazing baroque interior of a large rich merchant's house - we totally loved it - all the little details, it was like visiting a small palace. Don't miss it when in Gdansk!

I enjoyed most the cutaway model, showing the layout and how the 3 houses joined together. The only drawback was that all signage was in Polish. Only a booklet upstairs was in English.

You can see the real items and reconstructed rooms and scenes from XVIII living in Gdansk. Sometimes there are additional exhibitions organized as well. Must see in Gdansk.

Sometimes you would like to understand the way people lived earlier: luxury, housekeeping, servants and everything. This the right place to understand how they organized their living space!
