Excellent value for money, and great to see such a historic ship in in near original condition.
The only thing I would have liked to see would be to be allowed round more of the ship, particularly the bridge / bridge wings and upper deck. The main deck is excellent, but it would be so much better to see more.
Also, I was surprised that there was no museum shop (there always is in the UK, perhaps it's any excuse to make more money from UK museums), but I would have through that a shop would sell lots of things like models of the ship etc.

You can see it from distance coming to the Gdynia's Harbour. The ship was built within 2 years in UK and arrived in Gdynia in December 1937. During WWII it took part in several military operations and had over 200 crewmembers. Since 1976 it has become a museum. You can freely walk around the ship. If you are fan of militaria this is must visit. The ticket costs 24 PLN zl.

This is truly Gydnia's hidden gem. A thoroughly interesting experience- you cam walk right through the engine rooms whilst learning about the history and significance of the warship.
I learnt alot from the visit- I've been to the Isle of Wight more times than I can remember and had no idea of the role the Polish Army played in defending it during WW2!

As an engineer and fan of militaria, I was more than delighted with the visit to ORP Blyskawica. The ship was relatively new at the beginning of the IIWW and it was also one of the biggest and well armed in its class so it was in successful service not only throughout the whole period of war but remained operational until 1975 (!).

The tour is relatively short and without any guide, however you have access to many interesting places, including entering into drum boiler and engine room.

Blyskawica was built in UK - Cowes, Isle of Wight - and you can still find plenty of evidence for it, as there are many castings or plates on the different parts of original equipment - well done for British shipbuilders, as the ship was launched more than 80 years ago.

The warship Blyskawica is now a tourist attraction. You can visit this ship with an eventful history for 28 zł. The tour is without a guide along a marked route. Various exhibits related to this ship are displayed below deck. Among other things, there are also beautiful models of other ships on display. I found the engine room creepy. Everywhere a lot of pipes, steel, various barometers... I had never been on a warship before and I found the tour interesting.

Very interesting experience. Very informative exhibition of below the deck with clear view of all the machinery allowing one to imagine the life there during the sea missions. Highly recommended. It’s also an interesting fact that destroyer Błyskawica saved the Isle or Wight during the 2nd WW!

This battle ship is a museum now. For kids it can be fun to go on board but for me pictures are enough.

We went to look at this beautiful ship knowing that it was closed.
It is in remarkable condition, paint spick and span, brassswork gleaming and the "crew" in impeccable uniform.
Every detail seems to be correct, torpedo, depth charges, anti-aircraft guns etc.
Its history is inscribed in stone on the dockyard.
Would love to return when it is open again.i

One of the most famous place in Gdynia. The ship was built before II World War. It have been decorated with the Virtuti Militari, Poland's highest military order for gallantry.
Very nice place especially for children and those who are interested in history on army.
