In my opinion the most beautiful building along Ulica Kanonicza is The Archdiocesan Museum Building ( 19-21 Ulica Kanonicza ) although it's widely regarded that Bishop Erazm Ciolek Palac is the most beautiful but I disagree.
The Archdiocesan Museum Building which is dedicated to Polish Pole John Paul II,is a stunning looking building ,the facade is amazing ,I mean you actually stop and admire it ,it's a Classical style piece of architecture and very photogenic ,it's most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Ulica Kanonicza .

The exhibition is only a two minute walk from the castle and so is worth stopping by for an hour. On a Sunday it cost 5 zloty each, which was very reasonable! There are lots of stunning paintings and artefacts and it was really interesting to see the room stayed in by a previous pope. Certainly worth a visit!

The pieces in this museum were very beautiful. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Very interesting for people interested in the Church or artwork.

This wasn't in our original plan but we did visit this museum. A good way to spend an extra 2 hours in Krakow as you will visit the place where John Paul II lived during his bishophood. The people at the entrance don't speak english but you'll get the idea very quickly.

Strangely this museum had barely any visitors when I called in. It houses the rooms where The Bishop of Krakow lived before he became Pope Jan Pavel (John Paul). A modest entrance fee - about 8 zl. You get to see his robes etc and the gifts which were bestowed on him. Well worth a visit. About 90 mins is fine

I had no interest in the religious aspect, but was interested to see the tribute to Krakow's pride, Pope John Paul II, and this was very well done from that perspective. This is a museum essentially dedicated to someone who lived his life during a time when cameras were everywhere, and he was recognized as someone very special while he still lived. It's interesting to see what got kept and collected to commemorate the life of a great man of our times.

As I had always admired Pope John ll it proved a true pleasure to see the robes that he wore, the many presents, gifts and tributes bestowed upon him from his travels across the world and to learn about his interests and hobbies. You could sense the immense pride that the city of Krakow holds in its connection with this charismatic pope.

I stumbled upon this museum and initially went in to see the religious art not realising it also housed the apartments of Pope John Paul II. I had the place all to myself and the staff very kindly took the time to make sure I saw every single room. Very reasonable admission fee, treasures in every room. Interesting even if like myself you know very little about Pope John Paul II. Just wonderful. A real highlight for me was the room on Fryderyk Pautsch an artist who I was not familiar with but his work is stunning. The quality of the fine art in Poland is absolutely stunning. Overall wonderful varied museum worth a visit.

The pride of Krakow Pope John Paul II lived in this house when he was in the city. His belongings are in the house a nice tribute to this kind gentle man.

A fascinating insight into the life of Pope John Paul II with many of his personal items. clothing and some paintings too. When I visited there was also an exhibition of contemporary paintings in the basement which was stunning and well worth a visit. Helpful and friendly member of staff at the entrance made very good first impression of the museum for me.
