This Park surrounds the historic old town and most people will have the chance to walk through this area as they go from their hotel to go sightseeing. It is a wonderful of idea to have this circle of green in the city as it appears to be the only green in the downtown. It is filled with paths, benches,... More

The planty is a tree lined garden surrounding the old town. I find it fascinating any time of year. From early spring to early summer you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of students around the plants. They love to sit with a coffee and can be seen simply reading or studying. The planty is stunning in early autumn, with... More

It is a real pleasure to have a stroll along Planty Park, no matter what the season is. Plenty of benches, kiosks, small bakeries, cafes (with "U Zalipianek" being exceptionally recommended!) and ice cream stalls to come across within it, 8 thematic parks, monuments, pieces of small architecture and occasional performers to meet on the way to Wawel Castle; stylish... This 'Park' circles around the main square of the city. It's really handy because it acts as a kind of reference point if you get lost. If you end up going astray and find yourself in the park you know you're entering/exiting the city :). Pick a point on it and remember a building or something when you're going from... More

This unique park rings around Old Town, replacing where the Medieval city walls used to stand. If you are a runner like myself, a complete circle equals 4 kilometers. Jogging or walking through this narrow park, you will come across differently styled gardens and statues.

So charming... and beautiful particularly in the Autumn season. Such an asset to this historical city. Informative sign boards let you know your exact location. Plenty of park benches to sit and relax and watch the world go by.

As a frequent visitor to Krakow, I walked in Planty many times during each season of the year and practically in any weather. And it was beautiful each time: green and joyous in spring and summer, resplendent with colourful of leaves in autumn, freshly white in winter - and nostalgic on misty evenings. Go there for a walk to savour... More

A very nice way to visit many interesting place in Cracow, as it encircles the Old Town. If you enjoy the silence und the trees, you can switch from a busy street to Planty park.
