Fantastic museum showing the other side of the coin compared to most aviation sites. A large number of exhibitions on show accompanied by Polish and English signs. A must for any aviation fans whilst in Krakow. Just don’t bring your wife.

The museum is a short tram ride from a stop near the main railway station. We visited on a sunny day and so were able to enjoy the many exhibits outside. Some of the aircraft indoors were also whelled outside due to the weather which...More

I had been wanting to spend a full day at this museum for a long time, as previous visits to Krakow had never allowed me the time to do justice to a museum that has 181 aeroplanes, 18 helicopters, plus many other items and exhibits...More

I have been to many aviation museums and I can usually find a human interest story to keep my attention while ‘himself’ eulogises about the positioning of rivets, ailerons and anything boring, This museum has an impressive array of dead aircraft and their internal workings...More

This is a world class aviation museum that has a superb collection of gliders, private and military aircraft and the best collection of aero engines I have seen and an amazing collection of cold war jet aircraft. Needs a day to fully see it all...More

...to be missed! This is an amazing museum with practically a whole squadron of Mig 21s and another of Lim 2s. Many other mainly military aircraft principally from the Cold War era, and from both sides. Some civilian aircraft and a very nice Me109G and...More

I've now hit many of the national aviation museums in the world and this one was top notch, made better by the museum's willingness to display aircraft in unrestored condition. As is now openly admitted, after the Berlin Museum was bombed in WWII, the surviving...More

I have an interest in military aviation but I would recommend this museum to everyone. There is an excellent range of aircraft, but the big draw is the selection of 60s and 70s era Warsaw Pact aircraft that you will not see elsewhere. As well...More

What a great place, we visited on a Tuesday and it was free! There was hardly anyone there either, which was a shame as they had so much to see. It was about £3 for a taxi, they had loads of planes. We visited the...More

Finding a taxi in Krakow isn't a problem. A taxi from downtown to the Museum of Aviation should cost no more than 25 PLN. With the Public transport (tram) you can get there from city center (line 4) or from the main railway... More
