Don't ge me wrong, although it is a beautiful cemetery is is as beautiful as it can be. It is really interesting to see the wooden memorial plates, which give a perspective on the regional arts but the more you stay the more stranger it gets. It's nice to check it out, in the end it's near a really beautiful... More

Very old and beautiful place. The resting place of important people associated with Zakopane. These people depended on the region and its nature. Today the authority of Zakopane depends only on the money.

It may sound odd taking into an account that it is a cemetary BUT do not miss visiting it! A treasure with breathtaking tombs. I love the "Jesus in thoughts" statutes.

Visited late one evening and then the next morning. On the morning stumbled on to the guide who was showing some others around. I googled the people in eternal sleep for further information. Quite amazing the history. Many icons, and people you would not know without the assistance of the guide. Time to reflect.. After visiting this Cemetery walk up... More

I was a bit at a loss when we were led to the cemetery. There were some fascinating graves and they are obviously visited regularly as there were lots of fresh flowers and plants. Some of the names mentioned were not familiar but were obviously people of note of Zakopane and of Poland

Especially for Poles, Foreigners - generally as a part of highlanders culture. LOcated close to the Krupowki str and Gubalowka - why not to visit during a walk?

This cemetery is not to be missed as it is a place of peace and quiet away from the throngs of people on Krupowki Street. The headstones and grave markers are very interesting with the use of stones, wood and carvings that have a very artistic quality that go with the mountain town of Zakopane. There are fresh flowers on... More
