Stumbled across these statues when exploring the city and thought it was an interesting addition. It's cleverly done the way that they 'appear' from the pavement and it another one of many quirky touches around the city.

Situated not to far from the train station, these sculptures are an interesting landmark on the pavement and represent Polands history

We noticed these sculptures walking along the street, but didn’t realise there were some on the opposite pavement until the following day. They are sad and thought provoking and a reminder that the holocaust must never happen again. These are similar to the ones in...More

Increadible surprise, people coming out of the ground in the middle of the street. I love the idea of artwork as here, just co close to the people.

It is a good reminder to appreciate freedom. The sculptures are beautiful and sad. Wroclaw seems to have a large social conscience.

Certainly one of the most poignant sculptures (on both sides of the road) - one side disappearing into the pavement and reappearing on the other side of the road. Fascinating history.

Thank you for asking. I think this is rather a monument of forced migration of people during (and post) Second World War. Most of the present inhabitants of Wrocław are the descentants of Polish people (mostly) forced to... More
