The Old City Zoo is the original Zoo in Poznan. It's not very big, but it'll take a couple hours to see everything. Recently it's been changed to free entry so now it's a great place to take your kids or significant other for a walk "on the wild side". Though a lot of critters have been moved to the... More

I've given an average because the zoo was pretty empty with animals and people. I guess it's because of the time of year, Poland can be really cold so I think some animals had been moved or housed. We had a nice walk through the zoo and a nice touch of not having to pay because the zoo was not... More

I am not a fan of seeing animals in cages (you won't see me in the circus that has animals), but I really enjoyed visiting the zoo. Especially knowing that one of the bears has been taken away from the circus, getting treatments and getting back to full health! :) Overall, great fun for whole family :)

The zoo garden in Poznan is one of the biggest and most fabulous zoo gardens in the world. You must be prepared to spend the whole day there if you want to see all animals.

We loved this zoo. The animals have huge, natural looking enclosures. (The only enclosures which seemed too small were for the birds). The elephant house and outdoor elephant area is the best I've ever seen. Also, not one gift shop which makes a nice change! The zoo is over a vast area so the free road train is very useful.... It is a park with few animals (no zebra, no lion, no crocodile, no hippo, no wolfs.....) Some animals are so far that you almost don't see them (giraffe and tiger)

Poznań New Zoo is fantastic. It is huge so it is good to have time to be there. I love the fact that zoo is so bit because animals have a good space. You need to see elephants and bears. There are lakes in the zoo. Looks that animals are having good care.

The zoo is designed to look like animals not in cages and works really well. The enclosures are huge and well laid out, lots of animals to see there and worth a visit.

The tapirs have a great enclosure with lots of swimming. Tigers, elephants and giraffes etc. The nocturnal animals look a bit miserable because there is too much noise in their enclosure. Worth a visit especially if you get the steam train there. Reasonable price.
