IMHO it's one of the best museums in the city. it's not very big however it's full of amazing old instruments and stories about them. A must see when doing "the tourist thing" around the old city market.

Quite a big collection of musical instruments from almost ancient ages. Even though the exhibition is old.

We loved this museum with its original precious violins, early bassoons and other wind instruments, exact copies of historic instruments currently in other museums, ancient guitars and pianos, and instruments that we had never seen before - grandparents of modern recorders and penny whistles. A fabulous collection well documented in Polish and English. It would be even more fabulous if the... More

This I wanted to see. Unfortunately, we arrived at 320pm and they close at 4pm and they would not let us in. That was disappointing because we could have enjoyed at least 30 minutes of the museum. Not very accommodation in a low end of the season and on a rainy day.

Worth a 20 min visit if you have them to spare, and you're a melomaniac. Its free on Saturdays and its right in front of the Ratusz.

I stumbled upon this museum accidentally. Its in the center of Old Town you will miss if you're not careful. If you love music or are interested in instruments you should definitely visit this museum.

I really enjoyed this museum as it had a broad range of instruments from Poland and all over Europe. I was really surprised at how cheap the ticket was, only 1zl for students. Well worth a visit if you are interested in music.
