Great place to take some nice pictures. I have been really loving this building for many years, it's an architectural gem of Warsaw for me. You cannot expect La Scala or Palau de la Musica Catalana inside but if you have some spare time - go for one piece or so. And one more thing - there are some very... More

By any measure, this place is HUGE. Burned down in WW2, it was reopened in 1965. originally built in 1800's on Theater square. See the opera or concert here if you can. We heard Alicja Wegorzewska and the very flamboyant violinist, Bogdan Kierejsza--it was AMAZING!! The building is beautiful as well as functional.

Watched the ballet version of 'Taming of the Shrew' and it was a magical experience. Apart from the performance itself which was a tour de force, the theatre itself is magnificent. Full of old world elegance it transports you to more elegant times. The entire clientele,(and the large hall was full), were dressed to the hilt and that certainly added... More

We three had based our long weekend in Warsaw around this Sunday evening performance of La Clemenza do Tito (Mozart) with Anna Bonitatibus as Sesto (a favourite of my friend). We arrived at 17:45 for the 18:00 start, well organised coat checks with lots of bays and staff. We had front row stalls seats at 66zl (£11!) although more expensive... More

We had a pleasure of obtaining tickets to Aida at the National Opera House during our stay. The performance and settings were top level. 3,5 hours without Slaves Choir was a bit long.

My first time at the Opera was here, and we saw Rigoletto. It was absolutely amazing, they effort they had put into building the scenes, the musicians were exquisite, orchestra great and the interior of the building is beautiful, you feel like royalty. Don't forget to dress fancy though, I you wear jeans and a blouse you will stand out... More

Located in a very large building between the centre and the Old Town. That's where you can see best Polish actors. International quality, good drinks.

One of the biggest stages in the world. Beautiful foyer. Try go and watch "Straszny Dwór" composed by Moniuszko.

Saw Eugene O'Negin here. Beats anything I have seen in terms of staging anywhere in the world, except perhaps at the Santa Fe Opera. The staging was so terrific that it put that of the famed Sydney opera to shame.
