The Statue of the Little Insurgent commemorates children killed in the Warsaw Uprising. It's worth seeing but is quite sad and makes you think at the same time.

It's a statue of a little chap with a gun and helmet so there isn't much to say. They seem proud of him here so worth a look. And the coffee shop opposite is excellent.

Following a visit to The Uprising Museum visited the statue. Quite easy to find by the city walls and five minutes walk from the Uprising Memorial. Not busy with traffic or people, only a few other people. A place to visit and think. Metro station about ten minutes walk away.

This monument to the children of the Uprising. Children are ofren overlooked in conflicts and are surely affected by it for the rest of their lives. It is situated outside of the Castle Square towards the Barbican.

This statue represents the children and teenagers who took part in the Warsaw Uprising. According to the guide, the sculptor intended to shock and make people remember about it, so he portrayed this very young boy. Because, in the reality, such small children did not fight. There is a replica in the Museum about the Warsaw Uprising and you can... More

This statue represents the children that fight in the war during the German invasion in WWII. The ratio was of a sub-machine gun to 67 soldiers of the resistance. Nevertheless those were very hard... More
