This is worth a brief stop to see the sculptures and think about what life was like in Poland during World War II. One of the major reasons to visit Poland is to remember those who have gone before us and helped Poland to survive...More

A powerful, authentic and thought provoking monument to the Polish citizens who rose up to fight the Nazi regime. It captures the physical movement of the fighters as the sank underground where they traveled and rose back up to fight.

We saw the monument as part of a walking tour. It's an impressively sized structure and a fitting tribute to these significant figures in Warsaw's history.

This is a monument of many uprising fighters with statues larger that life size in action scenes. Its well worth the time and energy (about a 10 minute walk from the Royal Palace) to pay a visit. For photographers, its a fantastic subject.
