Moving from Bled to Vogel we stopped at Lake Bohinj and admired all the beauty of the water, the scenery and mountains and the history. Water is crystal clear and landscape is beautiful and pristine! This is must see stuff IMO and well worth the time to view, take pics, explore and relax.

Originally our destination was the Lake Bled, but we decided to visit the Triglav National Park as well. That was a good decision :) because this lake is gorgeous. I didn't expect this view, the water is crystal clear, definitely worth to see it (more than the Lake Bled). At the beginning of March it was pretty cold and it... More

We were lucky on the date we paid visit to Lake Bohinj as all day sun was shinning and sky was so clear in the middle of February. Best way to go such places, Like Bohinj and Bled , either rent a car or rent a car/minivan with guide/driver as we did, otherwise if you by public transport you may... More

Beautiful lake huddled by huge mountains in the national park. Lots of snow and the frozen lake made it simply breathtaking. Great place for 100% amazing nature !!

Stunning encounter the first moment you see the lake in winter. Absolutely beautiful lake with a mountain backdrop, made even more beautiful knowing there is a ski center very close by. Accommodations nearby are more affordable chalets.

Me and boyfriend visited Slovenia 2 yrs ago. We enjoyed the trip very much. We went to Lake Bohinj. It took us 3 hours to get here from Ljubljana bus station. Lake Bohinj is very beautiful and relaxing. We walk 5km to take the cable car going to a ski resort on top of the Julian alps.Although there is a... More

If you are looking for a calm place for the winter, it's nice to have everything there. Lake, skii, hike, river, little village. Not far from everything, but not too close. But if you looking for fun and excitement during winter... in lake bohinj, it might not be a best fit for you.. Please note that, in the summer is... More

This is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I've seen so far. You can boat over to the island. We also ate at an incredible restaurant on the lake.

Lake Bohinj and the surrounding park land was the highlight of our trip to Slovenia. It is simply beautiful and breathtaking. Being the middle of winter there was no greenery but even then the view is just stunning. The walks along the park is very nice and peaceful and follows the stream/river which was frozen at places. There is the... More
