It´s about 1,5 km of walking to the waterfalls and the same distance back, a "tour" for 2-3 hours (we need a lot of time for taking photos)

The Vintgar Gorge was an accidental find on our way back from Bled to Ljubljana - we just stopped when we saw the sign and it was worth it - For a small fee (5€ entrance fee for students/7€ for adults) you get a walk along the river (not a round trip unfortunately), waterfalls, nicely engineered walkways and another glimpse... An absolutely gorgeous place to place as a side trip from Bled. What blew my mind the most was the color of the water -- a ridiculous emerald green! The walkway is about 1.6 km one way. You can turn back whenever you want, but there is no shortcut to the exit. When you get to the end, you can... More

It is a great park to go and visit. Extremely beautiful and stunning. There are walking trails along the river for a good distance within and you come back the same way. Regular buses ply from city centre to the park. You can even walk to the park- would take 30 mins maximum but is a very calm walk. Definitely... More

Been here three times now, and waiting for the forth. This is one of my happy places. The clear water and the fantastic nature. I love it. The best way to go to Vintgar is to rent a bike in the town of Bled. You can also walk, but that might take longer than expected.

My one bit of advice, don't walk there. It took us what seemed like forever in a semi-hungover state in the heat and nearly killed us. Great place, fantastic views as well. Costs a little to get in, can't remember exactly how much but it was minimal. Lots of walking on questionable wooden paths/bridges so if you're not great on... More

The scenery is beautiful and tranquil. We have never seen such clear water. The walk along the gorge is an easy boardwalk and about 1.5 km one-way. There are toilet facilities at the beginning and end of the walk I remember. Must go and enjoy.
