The castle is very beautiful and a lot of things too see. But everything must be paid for. If you want to go on the top of the tower you must pay. You also must pay to use the toilet. It is a shame, because i belive there would be a lot more visitors if it was free of charge.

The hike to the castle is amongst the tall trees, green shrubs and grape plants. It's a easy hike and once you reach at the castle you see a great view of the Ljubljana beautiful city.

Castle grounds are amazing and the view is beautiful on a sunny day. The castle itself was not the most interesting however. I would go again, but not pay to see the castle, only look around the grounds.

I read a lot of reviews about this castle and I tend to disagree with them. There is plenty to do and plenty to see here. The signage is not intuitive, but just explore and you will find everything you want to see. Where is the sense of adventure when we have to complain about exploring? There is a very... More

We visited this impressive Castle during advent in evening time. We raised by modern funicular. The views are amazing. Exhibition of Slovenian history was also very interesting. The atmosphere in the square was relaxing, accordion, Christmas songs, mulled wine,...wonderful.

A small castle with a breathtaking view. An old fashioned printing press at the castle gives out a lovely souvenier in of a certificate made out of hand-made paper, sealed and packed. Lots of pictures to click from the top. Must See.

Arriving in Ljubljana late one afternoon and leaving early the next morning we chose to do a quick visit to the castle to get nice views of the city and watch the sunset. It was fun catching the cable car up the top and back down again. Worth a visit while in town!

The castle looks very impressive however from my perspective when I got there it was very "muddled" the signage was dreadful and perhaps not having an audio guide didn't help. The tower was good to climb but overall I was very disappointed with exhibits and general flow of it all. Views are wonderful if nothing else.

The castle was not my favorite part of my visit to Ljubljana. The view was nice for photos and the gift shop sold local handmade crafts which was appealing but I found it difficult to find how to get where I wanted to go (not that the inside was all that large). Not that much to see inside but it... More
