The Slovenian Philharmonic was established in 1701! The concert hall is small and compact, we had a very good concert with the Shenzen Philharmony Orchestra as part of the Ljubljana Festival.

It is indeed very beautiful building on a lovely square. Unfortunately, we did not have an oportunity to admire its interior and acoustic hall.

This building is absolutely beautiful to see from the exterior. Unfortunately there was no concert the days we were in Ljubljana so we were unable to enter it and see the interior. However, it apparently has wonderful acoustics and if there is a concert on, it is well worth attending it here.

Each year I visit this historical marvel. Very good concerts throughout the year, but for us they are most enjoyable around Christmas time, when Ljubljana is lit up and the atmosphere very warming.

Interesting building from late 19th senctury- the exterior is partly buld by famous Slovenian architect Joze Plecnik. It is worth to have a quck look when the entrance is open but the best thing is to listen to one of the concerts in a realy impressive concert hall.

Located on the Kongresni square in the city centre. You can park a car under the square. From outside is nothing special in terms of architecture, but attend the performance of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra if possible as the acoustics is incredible,..

My wife and I visited Ljubljana for around one hour and fifteen minutes for one particular reason. I wanted to see the statue of Gustav Mahler in the foyer of the Opera House where he had served his first appointment as a conductor. In those days, 1881, Ljubljana was a small provincial city in the Austro-Hungarian empire called Laibach so... More

once you are in ljubljana check the schedule of Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, specially if they are performing in their home hall. the hall is great and the orchestra excellent. the hall is right in the city centre, so after the concert you can stroll down and up ljubljanica which is literally 100 steps away.
