Philharmonic Hall is an architectural beauty in a city full of fetching architecture. Though the hall is small, as concert halls go, it more than makes up for any weakness by having such an illustrious history. The building was built in 1701. It's easy to...More

This is a nice 'Austrian' looking building with a history that goes back to early 17th century. I did not go in but got to walk around when I visited the congress square. They have performances now and then.

You will find best classic music in this building. Check the time for concerts. Filharmonija is home of the best and oldest orchestra in Ljubljana. You can find some poor decoration in the concert hall and good position of the palace on Congress square.

Slovenian Philharmonic hall was built in 1701 and it members were very important composers like Ludvig van Beethoven, Josef Haydn, Johannes Brahms and famous Italian violinist Niccolo Paganini. Gustav Mahler was a conducter. We are very proud of our Slovenian Philharmonic orchestra.

This is yet another attractive historical building in Ljubljana, located close to the main university building. Unfortunately it wasn't open when I visited and so I couldn't go inside. There also didn't seem to be any concerts happening in the evening when I was there....More

The Slovenian Philharmonic was established in 1701! The concert hall is small and compact, we had a very good concert with the Shenzen Philharmony Orchestra as part of the Ljubljana Festival.

It is indeed very beautiful building on a lovely square. Unfortunately, we did not have an oportunity to admire its interior and acoustic hall.

This building is absolutely beautiful to see from the exterior. Unfortunately there was no concert the days we were in Ljubljana so we were unable to enter it and see the interior. However, it apparently has wonderful acoustics and if there is a concert on,...More

Each year I visit this historical marvel. Very good concerts throughout the year, but for us they are most enjoyable around Christmas time, when Ljubljana is lit up and the atmosphere very warming.
