Our family of 6 wanted to see the city, so we began walking-up the tiny city streets, until we reached the Church of St. George. From there, the views were so beautiful, and the streets were beautiful, but watch-out for those pigeons above. ;) Enjoy!

This little church with associated buildings is well worth a look. It had grates across the entrance doors when we were there...but you could still see into it, but not enter into it. Well worth a look.

The best overall views over Piran and its position in the Adriatic can be gotten from a -at times steep - walk up the hill to this church. Backways and byways towards the church ready you in anticipation of the destination! Once there the view...More

This church is a must see on your tour of Piran. It's a very pretty church and the crucifix in the church also has historical significance. You can visit the basement level and there is also a short museum of artefacts. We also climbed the...More

Don't know about the church but the bell tower is worth visiting. Just few minutes from the Tartini Square, this bell tower has the most amazing views over the town and the sea. You can see the Italian Alps and Croatia as well on each...More

Must visit! It’s 1 euro and well worth the climb to the top. Fantastic view of piran. The bell went off when we were at the top which was a bit alarming but a good experience. Would highly recommend.

You know you're gonna get a great review, because it's simply the tallest spot in Piran. We trekked up the windy streets and made it to the tower. For €1.00, you can climb to the top. And the view was definitely worth it. If you're...More

This church's clock tower stands over the city, visible in all directions. Very picturesque, even if you don't take the long walk up to the church.

The best bit about this church is the view. The church itself is very plain on the outside and fairly standard on the inside, but the views make it well worth the climb.

The baroque style church is a landmark overlooking Piran. The road to it is behind Tartini Square and it is steep. Inside the church there is a great statue of St George slaying his dragon and lovely painted ceilings and ornate alter. For E1.50 you...More
