We booked the ice bar as part of at trip to Budapest for the Christmas markets, it is a pretty poor ice bar, it was very quiet indeed. You have to order your drinks before you enter and then the drinks they serve in the ice glasses are very small. You would spend more than 10 minutes in there.

I had read reviews on here before we went but we decided to give it a try - really not that expensive! A bit of fun and a chance for some good photos. Nice cocktail included in an ice glass. Very small bar, all very friendly. Don't expect it to be amazing inside but worth a visit if you have... More

We paid around 3,600 ft and wish we hadn't bothered. Very small more of a novelty experience than a night out/ relaxing bar. Spent 15 mins in there with another couple, other than that it was empty. There's other, better bars around the city that we enjoyed that were a lot cheaper. Don't bother.

Really crap. They give you gloves in the hopes that you won't realise the half of it is plastic not ice. The drinks are tiny and not to my taste and the bar itself is small. Really small. There are 3 seats, and it's about 2 metres wide by about 6 metres long and part of this is taken up... More

Well worth a stop if you have the time. It is expensive for what it actually is, but me and partner enjoyed. Was there on our own, barman was Freindly enough. Good for photos etc!

Having heard of family and friends, experiencing Ice bars all over the world and reporting having enjoyed it , we decided to give it a go. We were very disappointed, the best way we can describe it is; 'Pretty Naff', it is very small, not too impressive, very expensive for what it is, the drinks, even the alcohol free drinks... More

Neither of us had been to an ice bar so decided to try it. We had the (small) place to ourselves which was great and the barman was lovely. The gloves definitely smelt sweaty which wasn't so nice but overall a unique experience!

Bought tickets at one site and then had to walk for 20 mins to get to the actual bar. It's not cheap, drinks aren't much to shout about, ponchos and gloves have seen better days and the actual room is tiny. Good to say you've done it, but much better places to go in Budapest.

We visited here as random stop off point. We paid 3600 huf each with one alcoholic drink. The room is very very tiny and there were about 20 leftover iceglasses from the previous visits. We tried to drag the time out to feel like we were getting our monies worth but just stretched it to 10minutes.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
