The domed neo-Gothic structre was inspired by the British House of Parliament and serves as both a vibrant government center and a proud city landmark on the banks of the Danube.

Book a tour in advance. Several languages offered. Beautiful building. It worth the visit. Pest side, close to city center.

One of the best looking building I’ve ever seen especially in the evening! Would definitely recommend a tour within this building

It is one of the greatest historical monument of hungarian history and a superb arhitectural construction. The home of the hungarian crown and the house of the parliament it is a living piece of history. IT should be obligatory to visit for everyone.

One of our many stops while staying in Budapest. Love history and Budapest is loaded with it. Walked around for over and hour and the time flew. Enjoyed every minute, the only dissapointment we had that we should have taken a tour. Maybe next time....More

We highly recommend to view the Parliament at night when it's lit. You can either view from one of the many bridges over the Danube or take a night cruise, some of which offer dinner. Also, walk or take a taxi during the daytime hours....More

I should start by saying that I didn't visit either the inside of this magnificent building or the visitor centre (underneath) but would recommend doing so if you have time, based on what I've read. That said, it's worth reviewing the building itself just because...More

Went on a guided English speaking tour which took about 40 minutes. You only see a small part of the building but it is still spectacular. If you are EU citizen, take you passport as you get in for 2500HF rather than 6000HF

We were on the Danube river cruise which departed Budapest at night and we passed by the beautifully lighted Parliament. This image of beauty is forever marked in my memories.

We arrived too late to take a tour of the inside so I would recommend booking beforehand. It is a large impressive building that looks out onto the river. It's easy to find and is walkable from the chain bridge if you choose to walk...More

District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube,
with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The
Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica
stand out as two of the finest examples of
architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for
more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval
city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while
the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention

Well, that’s just if you go inside. You need to book at least one day before to get in the parliament and of course the visit is guided, so I don’t think you have an option.

I don't think the card is necessary. We just walked around a lot. Get a multi day ticket for the transit system it is good for metro, tram, and busses. We really enjoyed seeing parliament lit up at night (free). And the... More
