What an amazing building. Puts the houses of Parliament in the shade. Try and make it for the changing of the guards

Unfortunately the main areas were closed but an exhibition detailing all the political history of the Country was open with free entry, which was very interesting. The Building alone is well worth walking around the outside to view its splendour.

Definitely take the tour and get tickets in advance if possible....depending on season. Just wish the tour could have involved more areas and been longer......so very interesting.

This was my second visit to the Parliament and I enjoyed it as much the second time. They were in session so many important people were moving around. Had the chance to see the changing of the guards while I visited.

Budapest is soooo rich in history. This is a must see - both inside, outside, and lit up at night! Absolutely glorious!

Well worth it but you need to book in advance. Your hotel should be able to do this for you. You can select the language for your tour guide

Booked online and website was really simple and informative, arrivals process was fairly good considering that 30 people had to go through airport style security and then pick up an audio guide. Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
