Amazing architecture & great building. On the outside is much more impressing than on the inside. If you are not a fan of museums & history, it's enough seeing the bulding on the outside & visting the surroundings.

The third largest Parliament House in Europe, depicting the splendour of architectural marvel of the late 19th century. The Crown St Stephen (Sent István) in the Dome is also magnificent. If you are fortunate enough to see the changing of the Guard, you will be well rewarded by the spectacle. The tour is best booked through the Parliament house web... More

This Parliament was our favourite building in Budapest. An architectural masterpiece, we really enjoyed walking around it, including the surrounding garden and park.

Although I did not go into the museum this is an outstanding piece of architecture in Budapest. The parliament is on the river and very grand. It is also interesting to see the armed guards at the doors to the building. A must see if you are interested in architecture and modern culture.

I booked online but this wasn't really necessary as they had plenty of places on the tours, which only last about half an hour. But this was January, probably in high season it's better to book. Tour was very interesting and the building is very beautiful.

Worth a visit just for the photo. This is such an aesthetic building that it doesn't matter what time or weather condition you find yourself in. We didn't make an appointment to tour, so we were left outside. That was fine, as we had a full day planned. I snapped a photo and continued on. It was still a nice,... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
