It is a really nice zoo, clean and organized. Animals kept in well and aptly designed areas. We visited it during half term holidays, so there was a queue to get in, but once inside it did not feel crowded.

This is certainly a throwback to old zoos. The animals are in cramped dirty quarters and many of the animal houses smell pretty bad. The buildings are lovely on the outside as is the entire park, but it is not up to zoological standards today.

...so the animal pens are sometimes too small. Visited in late October so maybe that's why more than a few attractions were empty or being renovated. Only a couple of the newest attractions have any English translations. Disappointed.

The zoo has many exhibits in addition to the animals. They have a circle of life building that goes from sealife right up through human evolution. They also have an insect zoo that is as good as Berlin Zoo. The whole zoo is very impressive....More

Brilliant day and had fantastic weather.Its a massive zoo took some great pictures.The best part was watching the sealions.I would recommend going early too see everything.If you have kids they will love it
