I visited this museum in 2007 and it was pretty much better. I don't know what did they do with the rest of the collection. Nearly half of the museum was closed today and I had to pay extra to see a few dinosaur models in the garden. The gentleman who were checking the tickets was rude. Except its negative... More

So we went there to "kill some time" and killed more than 2 hours. It is very cheap (800-1,6k ticket for the standard exhibition) and we got to see a lot of stuff related to the history of earth. The place walks you through time in a logical way from perhistoric time to modern as well as puts a lot... More

A very interesting museum with all the bells and whistles found in other natural history museums. Get the run-down on Hungarian flora and fauna.

This is an amazing exhibition of Hungarian history, excellently presented and documented. We were very impressed with the range and quality of the exhibits. Some of the information was very new to us, particularly the evolution of the tribes over many centuries.

First of all, the place is a maze. For a museum, that's really negative. Most of the exhibits are about the old castle, but they are a lot, and tiring. I liked the stuff on the upper floor, which concern the modern history. Left tired, not knowing much more. I'd recommend the National Museum, which is beautiful and covers most... More

The Natural History Museum in Budapest boasts several permanent exhibitions and also temporary ones. Science is made interesting and attractive for visitors of all ages. It focuses on the Hungarian heritage but at the same time the latter is also connected to the old ages of Europe. The collections are very interesting and diverse and I really appreciated some original... More

I regretted going there, wasted money, in about half an hour you go through the whole thing, no dinosaurs...no fossils, just plastic and wooden replicas.....so bumbed, I was really looking farward to it....

Travelled quite far to visit this, paid for the permanent exhibits and found it was quite a let down. Although it was very modern, there was not a lot to offer and it felt as though there wasn't a lot to offer.
