Best Budapest Spa

I got there bang on 3pm (it closes from 12-3) and paid my entry fee and rented a towel (500huf + 2000 deposit). Had the place to myself for nearly 45minutes. Great main pool plus... read more

right when we walked into the bath, and 80+ yr old man slipped and fell. you have to walk down hallways, which are slippery, to get to other parts of the spa. The water is chlorinated, and they don't have a mineral content sign posted. It is really a nice looking place, but doesn't have an "authentic" feel. We liked... More

I got there bang on 3pm (it closes from 12-3) and paid my entry fee and rented a towel (500huf + 2000 deposit). Had the place to myself for nearly 45minutes. Great main pool plus 4 smaller pools around the edges. Jacuzzi and large swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms and nice places to relax. Perfect. I read mixed reviews... More

We decided to find a smaller, quieter bath and so decided to visit this place. It was also reasonably close to where we were staying. Going to the baths is a perfect way to spend a rainy day in Budapest. We just went for the baths - none of the extra stuff. The main bath is big and it was... More

We did a Vienna-Budapest trip in March and thermal baths was on our list of things to try. This place did not disappoint. Location: bit tricky to find. We used Google Maps and got there OK, but could not find the front door (it faces the Danube and is the main reception/entrance to the hospital). Facility: very clean with men/women... More

I'd planned to visit Gellert baths but on the morning I was going I was put off Gellert by recent reviews. Instead I visited this spa and was delighted. I arrived at 10am & there were maybe only 20 visitors in total. At times I had the big spa bath or one of the side baths to myself. I also... More

Reading lots of "subject Bath in Budapest " TA reviews and we chose to try this place. We also booked 2 sports massages. The place supposes to be clean and quieter than larger touristic ones. My husband and I arrived there around at 1530H. during the weekday. There were so many teens on that afternoon. The place has few small... More

We decided to visit the baths on a rainy wet afternoon. We recommend sticking to main road parallel to river and look to the left to see a glass fronted building that looks like a library. We stopped in the cafe for a drink as we were a bit early as the baths don't open till 3 in the afternoon.... More

Having visited the Gellert Spa, I wanted to try one of the original Turkish baths and Veli Bej did not disappoint. We arrived early at 2.30pm in case of queues but it was quiet on the day we visited so we did not have to wait at all. We enjoyed lunch in the cafe and went straight in when it... More

It has been raining for the first two days of our trip so we decided to visit the spa each morning. Its one of the cheaper, quieter baths and we enjoyed it. Turkish domed roofed bath with smaller pools also. Steam rooms and saunas. Cafe on site too. On entering the process was easy and the check in lady was... More

Took a little searching to find, as it's not obvious from outside. Set inside a hospital grounds the entrance is through a glass fronted cafe. Turn right after entering & the spas are first exit on your left after the cafe. We weren't asked wether we had flip flops, towels or swim hats. We purchased a safe locker situated by... More
