Its a fairly simple bar with cats at second floor. Come in, have a beer, play with cats, pet them. What else is there to do?

Omg, I've read some of the reviews. As somebody who had spent most weekends of the mid-90s in 'the Irish' I can say that the Irish Cat is as Irish as Mel Gibson is Scottish. (That was sarcasm for the ones who didn't get it.) I never went there for a coffee or a meal. Or before 2am. They don't... More

We stayed up the street from this bar and when we went(midweek) the place was dead, service was terrible. Finished our drinks and left immediately...go somewhere else. The Jewish quarter perhaps?

I wouldn't normally review something badly but we went quite far out of our way to visit on a Tuesday and Thursday and both times it was closed even though it said on the door that it opened a couple of hours previously

We been there on St Patrick day. Very very crowded. First thing stroked me is the fact that we wore told that we have to use and clothe room, but shortly after we paid, I noticed that half of the bar have their coats with them. Why we had to pay? Second thing is the pricing. Drinks are hugely overpriced... More

I had the best espresso ever. We forgot our umbrella, so we came back half a day later. It was still there. I drank a second espresso and ate an out-of-this-world open, fried, ham and cheese sandwich. The 40+ bar lady was a darling. I asked her for one of the espresso cups. She wanted to give it to me.... Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
