When in the beautiful city of Budapest it’s fun statue spotting this one is near Margaret Bridge and a little gem. Well worth a photo.

You can just pass by and you wouldn't observe this small statue. But if you come closer you will recognise the famous Calumbo and his dog.

The statue was installed in 2014 at an estimated cost of $63,000, it's made out of bronze. Nobody really knows why it's there despite the actor Peter Falk had some Hungarian heritage.

Being a big fan of Columbo it was a very pleasant surprise to see him and the little dog being memorialized in the middle of Budapest. Have to take a photo to show the folks back home.

We did a bit of research and found that there is a very slight possibility that falk was related to a Hungarian politician but never the less - it was fun trying to track down random columbo for a quick pic!
