First visiting but not the last. Homemade wines, with the prince begins from 150huf for glass. I'm in love with Bikaver produced in 1997, But other years are also nice. you could find it in cellar nbr 19. There is only wine and some types starters, but do you really need something else? Cellars #26, 34 eare cool too) try... More

What else could a group of six students ask for then cheap good wine in a beautiful setting of an old wine cave? The wine in combination with the cave setting were conducive to a lot of soul-searching and deep talks on identity and life... A great bonding experience with friends, wine bottles, and trashcans or toilet bowls for some.

We visited Eger in late October, and their were few tourists around the area in general. We walked over to this area from the center of old town on a late afternoon it took about 20 minutes down mostly quiet city streets. As we got close to the "Valley" we passed dozens of small buildings and doors along the street... More

We walked here from the centre which actually didn't take that long. It has lots of wine cellars on both sides of the road, but unfortunately not all were opened as it was quite season. But regardless we had a great time, we had a glass of wine in about 6 cellars. It's was ridiculously cheap some place had wine... More

We tried several wine region in Hungary but the valley is special. Lot of wineries in one place, and about 15 walk from the center. Bikaver and the red cuves are the best here, so if you want to drink unique wines, try these ones, and do not miss the Tóth Ferenc and the Hagymasi winery!

Imagine forty to fifty wine cellars all in a tiny area. Each has a local wine and they are all delicious. The ambiance is incredible in each cellar. It's the first time I've actually recommended a tourist trap. What can be better than cheap delicious wine with friendly people in an awesome atmosphere?

This is a local winemaking Mecca. Small, quaint and friendly. Many wine cellars, restaurants and outdoor terraces to sit and enjoy a glass of their products. Unfortunately it was a little cloudy and cool the days we were there, but could envision a totally awesome scene here in more temperate weather as in August and September.
