Unique ceramics

The home of very unique ceramics, normally not the biggest fan of museums, but this one I really liked.

Fascinating small collection of famous artist's works in a charming domestic setting. Pieces provide a sensitive combination of humanity with deeply felt spirituality in a unique fashion. Film showing Ms. Kovacs at work should not be missed.

Beautiful place, absolutely stunning art! There museum was part of city museum tour card. Only port they don't allow photos inside, so you try to remember all that beauty with your eyes. Absolute must see!

This small museum exclusively displays the ceramics created by Kovacs. Do not skip the video to see her actually create one of her pieces. I didn't know what to expect but I was fascinated by her sweet subjects and skilled creations.

Lovley ceramic art by a seemingly prized budapest artist, tickets are very cheap. Margrits ceramic creations are very folksy with religious and mythical themes, her work uses beautiful colored glazes with a lot of natural clay and texture still showing. There were tv and interactive screens to encourage audience participation with the work but unfortunately these were not working on... More

Margit Kovacs was a great sculptor. Her art radiates intimate humanity and represents a unique voice in ceramic art. I leave in the neighborhood, and time to time visit her museum to cure my soul in this troubled world. The museum is in the heart of a beautiful small city Szentendre nearby Budapest.

What Margit Kovacs did with clay is amazing! Everything from tiles to statues with incredible imagination, humor and humanity. This museum in her former house is little known and deserves more recognition.

This museum has the most amazing art by Margit Kovacs. The pieces are so varied that it is hard to believe that one person did it all. It is a must see.

We wandered in here almost on accident. Entrance was included in our purchase of a ticket at the Ferenczy Museum elsewhere in Szentendre. What a fascinating and fabulous collection of ceramics that also tells you a lot about the life of the artist and her times. Brilliantly presented. Right off the Main Square of the city. Highly recommend.
