Signs throughout the town are in Hungarian and English. So despite not speaking Hungarian or German, was able to self guide through the historical buildings. Stopped in the museum and saw the "violin workshop". A craftsman making violins - almost out of a movie!

The Castle hill is one of the main reasons to visit Veszprem. One of the main attractions to see there is the Statues of King Szent Istvan and Beautified Gizella. They stand near the top of a steep rock and behind them you can enjoy an undisturbed view of the city and the fields nearby. Definitely worth seeing it

We checked out of hotel and strolled up castle hill before driving out of town. It was a nice stroll and we saw everything that was free and took some nice photos especially with the statues of the king and queen.

This castle topping Veszprém among the other same size city in Hungary. The castle and the surrounding streets are really worth to visit. It was recently renovated, and full of with Catholic churches.

Veszprem and its castle hill are stunning. The architecture is incredible and the buildings seem to have been repainted recently. It is difficult to understand why so few tourists pay a visit to this place. We paid special attention to small details like the doors, the writings on the walls and even the explanatory signs which seemed to be hand... More

Charming castle district, however small. It's only one street but nevertheless worth to visit. The gate into the castle district is a replica. Don't miss the view of the city behind the statues of St István and his queen Gisella, the first Hungarian King. They are standing at the end of the street. A part from the St Michaels cathedral,...
