Nice small Chapel in the middle of the historical castle district. If you visit Veszprem, I recommend the visit.

For sure I wouldn't pay an entrance fee, if I would have know what is inside. Some of the original paintings? are to see, and that's is.

This chapel was built after the time of Gisella, but it contains frescoes of the apostles on the walls which are splendid. The colors are very vivid. There are also pieces of color remaining on the ceiling vaults and bosses. The frescoes date to the 13th century when the chapel was built. It has a simple altar which is perfect... More

but amazing frescoes left over from medieval times. super tiny but that's how it was back then for a private chapel for the queen of hungary, gizella.

Announced as the most ancient remains on the Castle hill, the chapel is a bit of a disappointment. It is very small and definitely not spectacular if you have visited any 13th century churches before. Don't bother buying a ticket, just watch it from the outside through the open doors.
