We were staying in Bratislava and took a local bus which only cost 90 cents for a half hour trip. The castle is set on the banks of the Danube with fantastic views all the way round .

Hi, I'm not sure if you can book in advance but it any case it's never that busy. The ticket booth was empty when we went mid morning and will only take you a minute or so to buy tickets. Enjoy!
