Loved the walk though the old town. Which major parts are for walking only with major works being found. Great range of nice shops and bars and restaurants. When work has been done it will be fantastic

This is a gorgeous part of town, full of history. Just lose yourself in the streets and alleyways and be enthralled with the architecture

Lovely place to wander around if you have time with well kept historic buildings and places to stop for a refreshment. We stopped here on our one day one way tour from Vilnius to Riga. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Kaunas Old Town is a pedestrian area with interesting architecture, shops, and restaurants with outside cafe -like seating. Wonderful atmosphere, super food and oh so reasonably priced... Lithuania is a fab country to visit.

Like many European cities which endured the double horror of World War II and 50 years of Soviet rule, Kaunas today is a pretty dank and four place - not some place you would ever want to visit. The old town is its saving grace....More

If you have missed it by some reason and moved on ,turn around immediately! You just have to see and feel the heart of Kaunas. Walk through old buildings, take a break in one of the restaurants and finally visit our castle. Just do it.

The old town is a must to visit and see the town hall and other historic buildings, sit out in the sunshine and enjoy food and drink. During our visit a choral festival was taking place and it was very nice and great music

Yep that’s right,I thought Kaunas old town was better than Vilnius old town. I just felt the atmosphere was better, bars and restaurants more plentiful and busy and the history more accessible. We did however have a local guide us around so this helped us...More

It’s nice enough to take a walk and see the streets. Lots of restaurants and cafés to relax. Vilnius old town is bigger and there’s more to see.
