Medieval heritage in the heart of Kaunas. Unfortunately, it is the only building like this. Enjoy it :)

The buiding is fairly typical of its period and similar ones present in European towns. Being the only one around it is not adequate to create a particular ambience, just a curiosity.

We found our way here as this was one of the 'must see's according to our tourist information maps, and it's definitely an interesting-looking building, however I'm not sure I'd have noticed it otherwise!

One of the more impressive houses in the old city. It is a kind of a Gothic style, one of the oldest in Lithuania. 2-3 minutes away from this building, a great view over the river and part of town.

Quite a striking not large gothic building. Interesting history and whilst the displays inside are small and low key it is worth venturing inside to have a look for a couple of euros.

Was there anything inside? I didn`t even know you could go in. I later read that the building was a Kontor for the Hansa, which in itself is quite interesting since Kaunas is an inland city. So why not create a museum? It should at least be possible to compete with the nearby museum of telecommunications.
