3 buildings on 1 site means there is plenty to do here , and all free. Lovely buildings and interiors.

We visited a number of churches and cathedrals in Vilnius. Bernardine is interesting to visit both because of the mixed gothic architecture and the history of the church and communism. Mix that in with the common practice of an ancient pagan religion (that is still...More

06 July, 2017. I approached the Bernardine Church from the side of the Bernardine gardens, located close-by. It was 06 July, a national holiday (The Crowning of Mindaugas). The small church with its spires and exposed brick construction is a prominent attraction of the Old...More

Just next to St. Anne's Church is Bernadine Church. On the outside it is not as spectacular as the other one. Inside is completely another story. Very beautiful and packed with history. The woodwork inside is absolutely fantastic.

This is a late mediaeval church built in the 16th cent by friars. It is hidden behind the church of St Anne.,

We saw photos of this church on several publications on Vilnius so we had to stop. On a beautiful tree lined street, very imposing. Simple and serene inside. Worth seeing.

Easily confused with St. Anne’s, the Bernardine Church is the one behind. It is a bit further away from the road. It's worth stopping if you are in the area but I'm not sure it's a destination visit or a must-see if your time is...More

This church is right behind St Ann's church. Unlike St Ann which is gorgeous outside but simple inside, Bernadine church looks very simple outside but stunning inside. Big hall inside is quite ambiance with woodworks and beautiful sculpture works. And the smaller sections on the...More
