The pink exterior calls your attention to the church as it is a bit secluded. However the interior is rather ornate and done in a notable green. It is typical of the Orthodox churches in that respect. It is surely worth investigating and easily accessible while walking through old town. Because of the service going on, I was uncomfortable taking... More

This Russian Orthodox Church is well secluded in Old town's street maze and behind the trees in a small park surrounding it. A simple pink facade hides a beautiful and extravagant interior, not to be missed. Unfortunately, like in most Russian churches photo is forbidden.

This church offers beautiful view like from the fairytale. Is really exciting and if you enter the main doors you are like in another world. With one word is BEAUTIFUL. You jave to visit it and spend couple of minutes here only with watching.

Quite normal on the outside, but you will be stunned when you see the altar! Green - I had never seen anything like that! Really beautiful!

1) there is man monastery; 2) it is a main orthodox church in Lithuania; 2) Ask inside the church where sale candles about tours, local monks or priests make tour tell a lot of interesting and show; 3) do not forget long dress (because it monastery); 4) very playful altar, absolutely not typical and not traditional formes and colors; 5)... Stopped here under the guidance of one of my professors. I should have known I was in for a show of color since the bricks outside of the church are all green, blue, and purple. Absolutely stunning inside, the entire altar a deep green-blue color with many gold accents. The candelabras are all gold, the paintings are hung in gold,... More

After our brief encounter with unpleasantness at the Gates of Dawn (see my review of that for more), this turned out to be one of the more pleasant surprises in Vilnius Old Town. We didn't even know about how significant the church is, as I just told my wife, let's go in, Orthodox churches are usually stunning in its interior.... More

Definitely worth a visit. The exterior is plain but the interior is magnificent, with Orthodox frescoes, statues and a dome, all in a striking deep blue and green decor. Note: you're not supposed to take photos inside.

One of the most surprising Churches we visited. The entrance looks unimpressive, but as you open the door it is a different story. Very ornate and impressive. The history is also fascinating dating back to the middle ages.
