If you’re tired from exploring the museums and traipsing up and down Vallimägi hill, the best place to take the weight off your feet is Rakvere’s central square, which was constructed in 2004. Kids will have fun running around on the bumps and other features and riding the toy animals. The contemporary bus pavilion, the yellow domes in the square and the fountain create a modern and interesting atmosphere.Did you know…?*The central square in Rakvere has been home to a sculpture dedicated to honorary citizen Arvo Pärt entitled 'Young man on bicycle listening to music' since 11 September 2010

This city one the most greatest and gorgeous places I have ever visited in Estonia. Simply I fell in love with Rakvere and I guess that I was the first Azerbaijani who visited this small city 💕👌

A great place to stop off at, if you're heading from or to Tallinn. Friendly Locals, good modern art exhibits and most of all a reliable bus station

If you visit the area, go have a small walk in the Central Square. There is a good pub-restauraunt (Berliini Trahter) nearby, a small soviet style shopping mall, unique modern art etc. There are many restaurants and cafes in the area and it's a nice mixture of really old, soviet and modern surroundings.

This is very friendly place, looks modern and happy. Yellow caps nearby looks like form the old tales from childhood. Be careful when you jump on this name, It is not too high, big enough to rip my pants :)

I really dislike the cobbled surface of this square and resent it replacing something much more authentically Estonian, a market place which operated into the early 21st century. I find the cobbles difficult to walk on and can imagine many kids falling over with skinned knees. There's an interesting water feature with sprays. The statue of composer Arvo Pärt, who... More

Visually interesting yellow done lights, pretty at dusk, when its lit up. Kids had fun, roaming around each area was different. Not a long stop at all, but then go visit the bakery!

Rakvere is a rather small town with 15,000 people. It's calm and kind of slow-paced and that's what this square represents pretty well. Just the right place where to stroll towards one of the comfortable benches, put your legs up and read a book while watching the time go by. And you'll see that in this town, it really does... More

Ofcourse, it's just a modern city square but it looks very nice to walk around and maybe meet a local if you come at the right time. It's a nice place to take a rest too if you have to (the benches even have leg rests for this purpose).

This is a nice place to have a sit and watch the daily life of this little town. As there's not much happening here, it's also an opportunity to enjoy the tranquility. The square offers nice modern monuments as well, and without them, I would have rated this as average rather than very good. There are interesting places to go... More
