Beautiful square!

It's like stepped out of old pictures. Absolutely frozen in time. Beautiful and lovely. Come and take pictures.

This Square is very medieval and reminded me of the scene from the childcatcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! Great atmosphere and lots of things to see and do. Plenty of choices of restaurants but you must try Olde Hansa. The most fantastic medieval restaurant which is situated in the Old town Hall itself. We went in late January and... More

A square with lots of atmosphere, this is where you can visit the oldest pharmacy. Under the Town Hall (under ground) is this fabulous little restaurant, dark and lit with loads of candles. Here you can buy bowls of Elk soup that you drink directly from the bowl and it tastes absolutely delicious, we also had Elk and wild boar... More

I think Tallinn old town square is very pretty and picturesque. Before Christmas you find the Chrismas market here and summer time restaurant terraces and the market stalls. I like that the market stalls are styled to fit the old town feeling. Also many of the vendors dress like medieval style and that is a great plus! Definitely worth a... More

It's quite small and nice. While being here you must visit III Draakon restaurant in the cellar of the market hall. It's a cheap restaurant where you feel as if you were in medeival times.

Right in the middle of medieval Tallinn is this square which boasts many places to eat and drink. There are lots of tourist trap restaurants, but there are also great places for locals (and the beer is plentiful!). During colder weather you can expect the establishments to give you an animal pelt to keep warm (and keep drinking). Yes, that's... More

This square is the heart of Old Town Tallinn. Is a nice place for a stroll during day time. There are several historical buildings nearby.

After traveling much of Eastern and Central Europe, there isn't an Old Town Square that rival's Tallinn's in uniqueness, skyline and and vibrant colouration, and a perfect blend of the authentic old and modern restoration. Definitely catch a few photos of at one point, one of the tallest Gothic City Halls in all of Eastern Europe. A must-see especially during... More

One of the most beautiful places in Tallinn is this central square. Architectually interesting (and beautiful!) small houses surround it, and there are lots of nice and really good restaurants around. Especially in December, when there is the great Christmas Market, the area is just fantastic. Not to be missed!

The main square is beautiful, but touristy. You shouldn't mind being asked to come diner in a nearby (expensive) bar. But enjoy the view and maybe a beer. You'll like it
