In my opinion this museum is interesting but doesn't offer a awful lot. There is a display of a few pictures on the ground floor and cabinets upstairs with some cameras in, but they all have numbers so you will need the guide sheet to work out which is which. I had hoped for more pictures of Tallinn through the... More

This museum is quite small, but it's okay to spend half an hour here looking around at old pictures and old cameras. You only pay 2 euro's to get in so you can't really go wrong. The building the museum is located is quite interesting since it's one of tallinn's old buildings.

A quirky little place with a number of steep staircases to navigate once inside and just €2 entry fee. Some very interesting social history and photographs illustrating the history and development of photography in Estonia, along with many interesting antique cameras on display, with a strong showing from the old soviet makers.

The museum is situated in an old jail and takes you through the history of Estonian photography. It's one of the places you can get in free when you purchase a Tallin card. All in all it has some interesting exhibits including an early history of Minox cameras. If you have mobility problems it is probably a place to avoid... More

A lovely quaint little museum dedicated to the history of both cameras and photography within Estonia and neighboring areas. Just off the main Old Town square, easy to find and quite cheap entry price, one Euro extra charged if you want to take pictures, odd as it's a photographic museum but there you go... Some great old cameras on show,... More

Some nice photos, and some nice cameras but nothing that stuck. Am missing some more info about every camera on display. A cool building from old times.

I have to admit the main reason my friend and I decided to visit this museum was to get out of the cold as it was -10 outside. However, we were pleasantly surprised. I am not massively interested in photography but it was interesting to see what life was like for the people of Tallinn in the 19th and early... More

i'd give it 3,5 but since i can't, let's round it up to 4. the photos were not that interesting, but the old cameras were. aaand probably the most fun thing was a chance to pose to some of your own photos styled to look like all those creepy-looking people on the 19th cent. pics ;) small fee, so it's... Neat little museum in the street just behind the central market square. It is housed in the old prison of which you can see traces all around. On display are interesting photographs from mainly the 19th and early 20th century showing the development of the art in Estonia. One section is dedicated to camera's of all sorts and sizes. A...
