The nearest bus drops you about a kilometre from the tower, you then trudge a long a scruffy path to get to this so called attraction. The reception hall has little or no welcome and there isn't much in English. You pay 3.70€ to take the lift up to the observation deck about 100 metres above the ground. This is... More

It remains a mistery to me, why the TV tower is not being advertised. Even though it's not centrally located like for example Berlin's Fernsehturm, such places always have great potential to attract visitors. Nevertheless, you can go up to the panorama deck for EUR 3,70. A 20 minutes walk from the end stop of trolleybus line 20.

Very nice view to Riga from above. You can by the ticket in the ticket office in 1st floor of the tower. After you go up by lift and end in sight seeing platform. In sight seeing platform you can walk around and see all Riga city from above. No dislikes, liked everything.

We had planned to visit the tower before we got to Riga & it was worth the effort. It's a bit off the beaten track & was deserted as far as tourists go! But that didn't stop us.. The views from the panoramic gallery are fantastic and for €3.70 it's more than worth it. You can either walk over the... More

And yet they don't use it. Anyway the price is low and for that you can get up to 200m to have kind of panoram view to Riga. But... The windows are very dirty so it don't offer the right feeling. And its very empty, no information about the tower itself. And there is literally nothing else to do. Go... More

As over reviews have said this attraction could be so much more. Literally you go up a sideways elevator to a open viewing area. Take a few photos and come back down. It's worth doing but don't expect too much

I you are lucky to have sunny day, this may be the right place to go. Scenery is interesting, 360 degrees panoramic view. Possible to see about 20 kilometres away. In the winter frozen river looks very interesting. Building itself is of Soviet style, gives a bit strange feeling inside. Best to go by taxi there or your own or... More

I had decided that I must visit this TV tower on my recent Riga visit. It's not really on the tourist trail and is not especially well publicised. It is located on Zaķusala - an island in the middle of the Daugava River. You can catch the #19 trolley bus which stops at the side of the busy dual carriageway.... More

It was an exciting trip with the elevator up here since it goes sideways(not straight up) like in the Eifeltower. This tower could be som much more If they invested money in building a restaurant on the top at the tv tower. Right now there's only a couple of chairs and it looks worn down. They could also sell souveniers... More

If you are picking between St Peters Church and TV tower, go to the fist place, as it does offer better views of the city. TV tower is ok and the views are good. You get a good view of Daugava and other parts of the city. However, it does need a bit of repair work to it. Also the... More
