Compact overviwe of latvian art. Reacently renovated attic is opened for temporary exhibitions. Most interesting are socialist art of the beginning of the 20th century ( Gustavs Klucis) and the last quarter of 20th century.

I pay 6€ for the whole exhibitions. However, it all latvian art and the collections are not much to see (when compared to the Hermitage which only 7€ but take more than whole day to see it all) However, the temporary exhibition quite interesting.

Can't fault this place. Art well arranged and the building itself is beautiful. Was €16 for 2 people and we spent several hours there. Staff helpful too.

In an accessible location, this large, well-serviced, well-displayed museum has something for everyone, but probably much that leaves any one individual cold. Its cafe is unfortunately more of a restaurant

Quite a large museum with different art collections. Even the basement and attic are utilised and I recommend taking the lift all the way up and walk on the terrace to enjoy lovely views over the city. My favourite temporary exhibition was Minervaldis Polis: Illusion...More

Last sunday of the month entrance is free in museum. New looks after renovation are fantastic. Glass floors so u can see beneath whats happening in other levels of museum.
