"Panorama Riga" is a circular terrace - observation deck of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, offering breathtaking 360° panoramic views of Riga. The terrace is wide enough, so groups of tourists or companies of friends can feel free on the "Panorama Riga" observation deck. From the "Panorama Riga" observation deck, you can take wonderful photos with panoramic views of Riga, nothing obstructs the view, enclosures and glass reflections don’t interfere. You can watch the most beautiful sunset or have a romantic date in the height of 65 meters.

Perfect place to catch views of Riga from all directions! It's inexpensive and easy to walk to this building (maybe 15 mins max) from the Old Town. It's also close to the central train station. There is an elevator that takes you most of the way up, but the final couple floors are taken by stairs. Plenty of walking around... More

Interesting building that stood out as our bus approached the city so it was good to learn you can pay it a visit. The observation deck was empty and gives a fantastic view of the city. There is a clean toilet at the top too and all the top sights are explained on boards on the wall. It's only a... More

Relatively easy to find - just a short walk away from the Old Town and easily found behind the market. We though it was closed so make sure you try all of the doors at the front! it was 5EUR for a ticket. Pretty reasonable we thought! Take the lift to the 15th floor and then walk the final 2... More

well worth paying the €5 it costs to go up its worth noting though that its in a fairly rough part of Riga nearby a market which is full of drunks, homeless, beggars and hustlers. the views are worth it though risk < reward

Cheaper than anywhere else, no one limits time, a beautiful view from the top to the old city, clean toilets. We recommend you to visit and try a buffet-dining room before you take the elevator to the observation deck- Tasty and relatively cheap.

This is definitley worth the walk away from the Old Town, it's just behind the market place, and you can't really miss it as it's so tall. It's only 4 Euros to go up to the top and the views are stunning, not only across to the Old Town but also the other way towards the radio mast.

We saw this building 'Stalin's birthday cake' on a walking tour and our guide recommended it. We returned and paid 4 euros each to take the lift to the top to the panorama deck. The view was superb and there were only 2 other people there when we visited. Highly recommended.

We were looking for the so-called 'flea market', and we can across this, which had not appeared on any of the 'Riga top-10' lists we had seen. If you are interested in the Soviet era at all, then you will may this interesting. There is actually not much there to see except the building (which is fabulous), and the observation... More
