Free and and an absolutely lovely ceiling

Worth popping in to see the Gothic ceiling. Also, a pianist may be playing, as what happened when I was there, adding to the atmosphere. Not too many tourists.

This is a lovely, grand church in old town Riga, and it's worth a visit if you're into churches. It's also worth a photo opportunity both inside and outside.

A church rich in history evolving from a monastery of the Dominican order to the current Lutheran church. Much of the old church has been renovated particularly in the early part of the 20th century. However parts of the original 1234 walls can still be seen in the basement. There are several very good paintings and a distinctive stained glass... More

It was a beautiful time to drive up from Vilnius for the day and spend a quick day around the capital. I thought it was very scenic!

Situated very closed to another touristy and famed church St. Peter's, this church doesn't have too many tourists. Outside is relatively simpler and so is inside except its decorated ceiling. Although it is old from 13th century but it was taken over in 1582 by Lutherans. Its more fun in summers when music concerts are held here. In nutshell, its... More

With so many churches in Riga some are bound to be more interesting than others, this is the case here worth a trip if passing by but don’t make a special visit, nothing special but quite nice.

This is a very nice and interesting Church with a beautiful ceiling which is said to be the biggest in the Baltics. Very peaceful the only thing that spoilt it was the lady holding her hand out for an admission fee

It is interesting church but not as decorative as some as it is Lutheran. It is in the centre of riga so worth having a look while you are in the centre
