Don't forget to visit both the old and the new City of Skagen. And maybe in reverse order of the mentioned. The new part of Skagen gives you shops, restaurants (go to the harbour for the best, fresh fish), potterys, icecream etc. The old part of Skagen gives you that special light, the yellow houses, old shops and traditions that... The the town is very small it offers a lot. It is worth a day trip. Spend time on the beaches, enjoy the plethora of seafood selection, ice cream, and cafés. Take the train and enjoy the scenery.

I really enjoyed my visit to skagen. We only visited town two times but it was a pleasant experience both times. It feels like most other small danish cities but with a few more specialised boutiques such as hand blown glass stores. If you want to eat you should really go down to the harbour and eat at the fish... More

This is the northernmost Danish city. Quite active during summer. Nice ships, shops, restaurants, museums and environment. Especially Skagen museum, Vippefyret and Bamsemuseet are must sees. In addition, you allways have to go to the Skagen Design shop, to by A watch. Nerby you also William find A shop selling cheap shoes. Those are not from Skagen. In the middle... More

Northern most tip of Denmark, Skagen offers a breathtaking view of the blue green sea. Grenen is the place where you can take in the beauty of the sea...... Walking along the windy shore on white sands is an amazing experience....... You may also come across some jelly fish along the shore if you are lucky.....

A quiet, picturesque small town. The houses are all in red or yellow. They all look similar, creating a sense of perfect harmony. A closer look will however reveal that many houses have their own special features - in the design of the windows, of the chimney, of the roof etc. These houses are perfect targets for paintings and photos.... Skagen is maybe the cleanest town I have ever visited !! Everybody from Skagen seems to take a pride in their town and are keen to help you find whatever you are looking for. The houses ( nearly ALL Skagen yellow with red roofs! ) are all clean and well maintained, and gardens neat and tidy. I enquired as to... More

Quaint & pretty remote town at the tip of Denmark, where the North Sea meets the Baltic Sea. This was our first port of call on our cruise as a new destination for our cruise line. Glad we visited, it was interesting seeing the to Seas meeting together.

The day we were are Skagen it poured with rain. We decided to take a taxi out to Grenen where the Baltic Sea meets the North Sea. Unfortunately we got ripped off by the taxi driver, charged us 50E to go out and back which ended up to only be 5 miles maybe. Then we get there and it was... More
