Lovely beach. Kids loved the train ride out. Waves good. Incredibly busy but could still find space. Recommend

We took the train which added to the experience. It’s got great facilities, several cafes and clean toilets. Been to some great beaches and this one is great.

We took bus from Tavira, then just short walked to the beach, you could take a tourist train. Few snack bars on the beach, very organised for sunlounger hire.

We love the beaches in Naples on the gulf coast of Florida but Barril definitely rivals them. We choose not to take the train but walk to and from the beach to take in all the nature - and get some extra sun. Good cafes...More

Loved the little train to the beach and the ice cream shop to start. Cute little beach, a bit pricey if you don't stay the full day but a lovely experience

I've never seen any huge pipes on the beach at Barril, if they were washed up by storms the government will clear them.

It was too cold however all of the beaches are OK to swim. Water tends to be lively as you are on the Atlantic
