Unfortunately, you can't walk up the trail to the bottom of the falls during winter because of the falling ice a rock (which are both very good reasons) but lit up in the evening is just beautiful to see, especially if your room has a...More

Near to train station, walk distance in fewer than 10 minutes. You only need to spend a little time to give it a visit.

you can see this fall as you hike along the valley floor or as you drive by. i prefer the former option. it is stunning! i would say to look for it if you are otherwise traveling along the lauterbrunnen valley.

A good hiking trek that is worth the time. The falls can be seen almost any place in town but up close is beautiful.

We hiked up to around the midpoint of the falls on some secure but somewhat wet and slippery steps. Well worth the adventure which is not too strenuous. There are several other falls nearby as well as a field of cows(and cow pies!) A nice...More

This a beautiful waterfall which drops down to the valley You should walk along from Lauterbrunnen and get up a close up. Well worth seeing but not a lot to do

Picturesque waterfall that dominates the surrounding Lauterbrennen Valley can be seen virtually anywhere in town. A steep, arduous, non-wheelchair accessible ascending stair case zigzags its way up to a point near the base. Following a lighted tunnel will lead you to more stairways that will...More

It is the second highest waterfall in Europe. You can hike to the base of it, but it is better observed from a slight distance, such as a hotel room at Hotel Staubbach.

The waterfall is at the end of the Valley and brings so much joy when you get near the falls. The valley holds over 70 waterfalls throughout the valley very impressive. I had the opportunity to walk through one of them as I was doing...More

The falls can be seen from afar but we took a short walk to to see it up-close. The way up is paved, followed by metal steps.

Agree with the weather. Definitely can walk the trail to the observation platform. If sunny beautiful, but more likely cloudy and cold.

It is an easy flat walk through and just south of the town. It is less than a mile and should take you around 20 minutes each way.
