It is highly recommended to spend a night at Lauterbrunnen - a beautiful village which is famous for the landscape and Staubbach waterfall.

At first, we're thinking about stay the night in Interlaken. But then we've changed our mind because we're in Swiss Alps! We do not want to live on the sea level. We want to stay on the Alps! So we choose to stay there and this is one of the best decision of my life! The town is so charming,... More

November everything is pretty much closed however the scenery is unbelievable. There are waterfalls on one side of the mountains and glaciers on the other. There are beautiful, well marked hiking trails all along the river side and well on the way to Stechelberg. Hiking or mountain biking would be a must here. Very quiet and rural area. Loved the... Not much to say about these, they are really cool to look at when you are hiking in the valley! If you are in the valley, look up! and check them out!

Then we had a look at it from the coach park from the other side of it. We come from a country with... More

We love Lauterbrunnen and have been there several times just to visit but have also stayed once as campers and once in a chalet. From the point you enter the valley at the small village where there are interesting shops and bars you will be stunned by the scenery. You can keep going by car right to the end of... More

The waterfalls in this area are simply amazing! Take the path up to staubbach fall for great views from "behind" the waterfall and for great views of Lauterbrunnen.

Excellent paved walkway/minor road up the valley from Lauterbrunnen (off the main road) offers a nice way to get out into the valley and see plenty of waterfalls.
