I took my 3year old and 18month grandsons to the aquarium today. On a wet and unpleasant day, it was the most perfect thing to do. They enjoyed the large fish tanks specially as they could clearly see up close all the different fish swimming around as well as the penguin. We did not stay for feeding but they were... More

We were fortunate to arrive at the afternoon feeding time of 2pm and enjoy handling tuatara reptiles and watch them slowly devour a weeks meal of one cricket. The hand feeding of the short tailed ray followed by a feeding frenzy among other fish species was really special. This is much more than an aquarium. There is a heavy emphasis... More

Read some dodgy reviews but my daughter wanted to go. Too expensive $58 for 2 adults and 1 infant. Not many exhibits and all suffering wear and tear-all were in pretty bad shape. Interpretative tour was informative but we couldn't leave quickly enough.

The place is quite small but during feeding time we walked around for about an hour and learned a lot of stuff.. a great way to pass the time till the ferry to the north island.

Staff are very welcoming and although prices are $22/adult, children under 3 are free. They also allow you unlimited access for your weekend stay. Our kids (both under 3) loved the touch pool, the turtles (not teenage, not mutant, not ninja), kakariki bird display and the fish aquarium. Key feeding times are 11am and 2pm. A great wet weather option... More

Every holidays our grandchildren from Auckland, Dunedin and Blenheim visit the Aquarium and it never fails to entrance. As well as stroking a Tuatara and talking to a Blue nosed skink and viewing all the other nature wonders on show, they can catch a great movie afterwards. Well done the EcoWorld Picton Aquarium team!

Today I had the worst experience at Ecoworld Picton Aquarium. As a new resident to Marlborough I was looking forward to buying a membership so I could regularly take my 4yr old and 2yr old twins. I was advised that I had to buy a membership for the twins, despite the signage clearly stating there was no charge for under... More

It was pouring with rain when we arrived in Picton and my young son spotted the aquarium as we got off the ferry. We went in and bought our tickets which were valid for a couple of days and they said if we came back at a certain time we could join a group tour at feeding time and get... More

I had a great time at Ecoworld, the tour was comprehensive and fun, meeting a little blue penguin recuperating from an injury was a real highlight. We were even allowed to stroke a Tuatara.
