What a spot to have a winery

We were on Saturday afternoon, quite a nice spot, take some time to get there by car on a white road, some people already there but not really crowded and no event, we wait 45 minutes in order to have a cheese plate, when we solicited the waitress told "Sorry sometimes we loose orders". There are so many winery in... More

Such a beautiful spot and lots of room for the kids to run around. Day wasn't a particularly nice day but we didn't let that get in the way. Winery is right on the beach in a secluded spot on the other side of the island. Dirt road to get there which added to the experience with amazing scenery. Wine... More

This is one of the most idyllic places in NZ and high up on idyllic places in the world. A gravel road trip around the island brings you to this beautiful place. We went on a Friday so quieter and my husband had one on one wine tasting and we learnt a lot about the island. We had a platter... More

Beautiful surroundings the tasting room at Man o'War on Waiheke Island is full of history. We had Erika for our wine tasting and found her to be really informative of each wine showing us where each wine was grown on the estate. Erikas presentation was faultless we really enjoyed our time there enjoying a platter with a bottle of pinque along... More

A real destination vineyard. In summer make a day of it enjoying the beach as well. Truly a 'get away' as it's at the South Eastern end of Waiheke. Wines are lovely, food also - its more that it's such a beautiful spot to relax at, ensuring you have seen most of Waiheke Island to get there. Rent a car... More

We went as part of an Auckland Seaplanes deal so we're on a high after having landed in the harbour outside to start with. Staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable for the wines and the venue well considered and great for lounging. Tasting platter was delicious (not enough bread though) and service is very slow given its only platters to... More

Stunning setting, great friendly staff and beautiful wine. Great place to have lunch and enjoy a free tasting. Even take a glass of wine for a walk along the beach!

The drive to the far end of Waiheke Island is a little off the beaten path (literally...it's an unsealed road), but it's nothing too difficult. Once at the vineyard cellar door, you have amazing views out to the little bay and the ability to taste a number of great wines. What my wife and I liked the most, however, was... More

Tried to buy 2 bottles of the Valhalla Chardonnay advertised at $38 on the take out list to take home. Was told they are running low so now would change the restaurant price of $57.....spoke to the manager and he said it's their perogative. Just plain greedy I say!!

Beautiful spot for lunch. Unfortunately it was raining when we were there, and the kitchen was closing (approx 3pm) October. They offered free wine tasting for our group of 6, but not a lot of seating and quite a small area.
