Trinidad is a beautiful and charming place, with pebble roads and houses that date from the colonial times. I was born in Santa Clara, Cuba (not that far from here) and had already been to this city a couple times when I was a kid; It's good to see the town is still well maintained for the most part, and... The Plaza Mayor is a relatively small square but it is pretty and a good place to sit and take in the atmosphere of Trinidad.

Beautiful plaza and surrounding area-great music at Casa de Musica! Well worth visiting. There are plenty of good restaurants, so don't get sucked into the guidebook recommendations.

A wonderful starting point to begin your tour of colonial Trinidad. Several museums and interesting locations just steps from here

...an amazing photographic opportunity at ever turn. Cafe, bars, restaurants abound and the surrounding buildings are beautiful examples of Spanish Colonial architecture. Even though this is the hub of Trinidad...it feels so relaxed and peaceful. At its best just before sunset.

The Plaza Major was a very vibrant noisy, colourful place during the evenings and a beautiful example of Spanish colonial architecture. The buildings are such stunning colours and the whole area is pedestrian friendly. We also did the Bici-tour which we highly recommend the tour guide and the Bici driver were very friendly, knowledgeable. Our tour guide wanted to know... More

This was one of the worst wifi sites in Cuba. I gave up trying, too many people streaming, etc couldn't even log on.

I think the plaza is considered sort of the center of the city! During the day is busy with tourists and locals going about their business, and at night it gets quite lively, especially towards the corner with the steps! There are so many things to visit around the plaza that it's definitely worth having it as a meeting /central... More

Full of tourists relaxing and enjoying the old town. Plenty of Restaurants and bars. Craft shops and galleries everywhere. Government has taken over the big houses for use as museums and hotels, with many being repaired. Private businesses have taken over the rest. Cuba is changing.
