The beach was open and fun which we took a quick tour of and headed out for the longer hike along the beach. Unfortunately, part of the hike is blocked off or at least highly recommended against going on. Stupid or not, we walked around...More

The El Capitan State Beach Campground was very nice and the beach was adjacent. Reasons I won't go back are the proximity to the 101 freeway and the train. Way too noisy for my get out of town & into nature getaway. Our campsites were...More

El Capitan State Beach has parking, restrooms and other facilities with an easy walk right down to the beach. It is an attractive California beach with nice flat walking and awesome views of the Channel Islands.

The kids again wanted to get wet and play in the sand. We had to pay $10.00 just to get access to the beach. Which i think is too much. You can also camp there. I did not like that there was a lot of...More

Went here with our family because we were staying at the Ocean Mesa RV Park- it has full hook ups. It was a short bike ride away to get the beach. It is really beautiful when you are there. Kids were building forts out of...More

Had a great time. Camping was great. Camped in a trailer. All dry camping, no hookups but space #42 was great. Short walk to the beach. Great way to relax at the beach. Dog friendly. Camp site had fire ring and picnic table.

No electrical outlets in the lower loop bathrooms - there were in the past but they've put metal plates over the holes. Two quarters per shower - three if you're washing long hair.
